  • Grand Strand & South Strand Medical Centers and North Strand ER are open and will operate throughout this weather event. We are here for any emergency needs you may have. Hospital and outpatient surgeries and procedures will be done as scheduled.
  • Our Grand Strand Health-affiliated physician practices will be closed on Monday, September 11. We will plan to reopen for normal business hours on Wednesday, September 13. This includes Grand Strand Primary Care, Grand Strand Heart & Vascular Care, Waterway Primary Care, Grand Strand Surgical Care, and Grand Strand Spine & Neuro Care.
  • Several state and local agencies offer excellent resources regarding the storm forecast, evacuation pre-planning, travel and shelters. Links are below.
  • Horry County Schools have cancelled school for Monday, September 11. This cancellation includes all extracurricular activities.

  • Hurricane Irma is bringing storm conditions to Myrtle Beach Monday with rain and wind. Please follow the latest guidance from the South Carolina Department of Emergency Management. We recommend this site as well for hurricane safety: National Weather Service hurricane safety.
